What drew me to Coursera was the belief that learning can break down barriers — a truly transformative power. I was thrilled to craft the words that opened that door for people around the world.
I led B2B copy and supported B2C campaigns, working closely with product marketers to shape the messaging hierarchy for Coursera’s B2B product lines. That meant developing value prop pillars, headlines, benefit statements, proof points, and customer quotes — including close partnership with PMM, rigorous leadership reviews and revisions, and navigating legal and compliance. This helped create org-wide alignment on messaging, and I then cascaded language across demand gen assets, paid ads, social, long-form content, and more.
This copy hierarchy program helped cut down on back-and-forth and boosted creative output by over 30%.
I also wrote and edited copy daily for a variety of campaigns, and updated and maintained our brand style guide — including presenting writing best practices with teams across the org.
